Today, at a luncheon hosted by Tim Boyle, CEO of Columbia Sportswear, Provenance Hotels and the Gordon D. Sondland and Katherine J. Durant Foundation announced a $100,000 donation to Oregon Harbor for Hope (OHOH).

With this donation, the company and foundation join Boyle, who last month announced a major donation to OHOH, in supporting the Portland-based non-profit organization in addressing the diverse needs of the homeless population in Portland and the surrounding community. OHOH furthers this goal by collaborating with organizations dedicated, in whole or in part, to addressing the needs of the homeless in the city and informing the public, private and nonprofit sectors about the nature, extent and impacts of homelessness on the city and area.

OHOH was founded by Homer Williams, a Portland real estate developer and businessman, and is focused on developing special facilities featuring systems of care that meet the broad needs of the chronically homeless and unsheltered in Portland. It is working toward developing geographically distributed safe spaces that would welcome everyone – including those living with addiction, physical and mental disabilities or criminal histories – 24-hours a day, 365-days a year and provide life-essential services, opportunities for peer interaction and socialization and connection to medical and mental health services. More information on OHOH can be found at: https://oregonharborofhope.org
